I have been having a problem where after I have updated the workstation serial numbers. parago then goes around changing them back to the default of the machine. Ie I have a workstation that is reporting a serial number of 000000000 but is in fact WO34647203 so I edited the the asset info to the correct serial number I went to lunch when I came back it there was an active alert which read.

Updated: Asset ID, Serial No
back to 000000000. Can parago be stopped from changing asset info after it has been edited by a user.

We are aware of this particular issue and we will be fixing it in the near future (once we have sorted out the next update, due out around the end of the this month). It is due to the fact that, unfortunately, some systems incorrectly report their serial number (most newer systems know their serial number and report correctly, although it varies with manufacturer). We will be introducing a fix that stops the Agent overwriting user corrections and I will update you when this fix is available.
