Parago update

The Parago development team have just released a new update to the Parago system. As with previous updates, this does not require any user action and fixes a number of issues as well as introducing new features that will improve your ability to record and manage your assets effectively. Please take a few minutes to familiarise yourself with the changes to ensure that you get maximum benefit from your Parago subscription.

In addition to minor bug fixes and cosmetic changes, the main improvements are:

Expanded range of computer cases
Following user comments we have created icons to represent a number of different computer cases to allow for a more details record of your equipment. The system has also been modified to correctly identify the case type for assets being managed by ParagoAgent.

Computer cases, with icons, now include:

Desktop, Low profile, Pizza box, Space-saving, Midi-Tower, Full Tower, Notebook and Sub-notebook

Secure SSL Login
The other main feature of this update is the new secure SSL login. The secure login protects your login details from being intercepted when they are sent to the Parago server, adding an additional layer of security to your account.

The login process is much the same as it was before. You will see an icon on the login page that you can click on to verify that the page is secure. In addition you will be shown a “login successful” page before being forwarded to your home page.

Future Updates
We are currently working on an Advanced Search and Report feature. This advanced search will be in addition to the current keyword search. You will be able to create complex searches using multiple rules and parameters. For example, you might want to search for any items that have a replacement date due within one month. You can have many rules specified in one search and will also be able to save and reload search terms, enabling you to run common searches quickly and easily.

After creating an Advanced Search you will be able to create a Report based on the search results and allowing you to select what details the Report will list.

This future update is due to be released around the end of May.
