Deleted items.

Is it possible to get a list of items that have been removed from the inventory? Is it possible to record the reason the item was deleted from the inventory? If our auditor picks a purchase order and asks to see the item, we need to have a record of what happened to it. eg a new projector gets stolen, the item is removed from the inventory as it's no longer on site but we need an audit trail to show what happened to it.

In the current version of Parago the best way we have found to track removed items is to create a room in the school called something like "Deleted Items" and move things there when they are removed from the inventory. You can store the reason in the Notes field for the item.

Since this is a request we have had from several customers we have plans to create a system for tracking deleted items. While it's currently at the design stage we hope to add it to the live system early next year. If you have any suggestions for this feature please feel free to let us know.

It's worth mentioning that everything you do to your assets is recorded in an audit trail. This is accessed by clicking on the "Undo Last Action" in the right column. A popup appears asking if you'd like to undo the last action. Click the "Advanced" button to access a page where you can see a full list of changes.
