Re: Computer Description

Hi Stu, Thank you for your suggestion. We will look at including the computer description in the data found by the Agent. This is likely to appear in the next major update. In most cases, technicians use the computer name to tell them the computer location (eg. ICT01, etc.) but adding the descriptio...

Re: New Idea for Report

Hi Tom,

Thanks for your suggestion. We have considered using XML format but in most cases CSV format is more useful for the majority of users. If this changes in the future we may reconsider it.

Re: Service Packs and Updates

Hi Jacqui, This is currently part of our ongoing development plan, although we don't have a specific date yet. It would be useful to know what other users think about the inclusion of this feature. How many users need this information, are there specific aspects of this feature that you might like t...

Try out the new advanced reports!

We are currently in the testing phase for a new advanced report type. This report type, “Asset List (filtered)”, is similar to the standard Asset list but includes a rule-based filter to select specific assets. The assets can be selected using any of the asset details. For example, you could select ...

Re: Duplicates

Hi Daisy. This is EITHER a bug, in which case we need to have a quick look and see what the agent reports, OR it is due to something like copy. When an item is created by the Agent it gets a unique ID. There are a few manual things that could change that unique ID, so the Agent won't see a previous ...

Re: Change Type

I like the pictures too. In theory, tablets should know what case they are in and next time the agent runs (since we made the update) it should make the change itself. Because tablets are mobile devices they tend to have fewer opportunities to upload their latest data to the network. The agent tries...

Re: Maintenance: 23rd May 18:00 - 20:00

We are glad you approve (and also glad you actually read the announcements). In the future we may consider some kind of meeting for those suffering withdrawal. It's nothing to be ashamed of. On a seperate note: you might want to create a proper login, rather than using a guest login. All at no extra...

Re: Asset Managment

Hi Alex, We are aware of this particular issue and we will be fixing it in the near future (once we have sorted out the next update, due out around the end of the this month). It is due to the fact that, unfortunately, some systems incorrectly report their serial number (most newer systems know thei...

Re: Change Type

Hi Daisy. Okay, two issues here: The first is that the Agent is not designed to run on servers. Servers have very different hardware and configurations that are not easily detectable. The Agent is intended to scan all of your client/desktop PCs. In most cases you only have a few servers and technici...
